Class Descriptions
Low Impact Aerobics often becomes confused with low intensity; however, low impact simply refers to a reduced Impact stress on the feet, Legs, knees and hips, not to an easier intensity. Additionally, many Instructors have observed that an advanced LIA aerobic class is more challenging than an advanced high impact class. Movement that requires specific muscle isolation and resistance is a special feature of LEA classes. Once an individual learns to perform isolation and resistance correctly, more muscle fibers are caned into play. The net result is a very intense workout, one that challenges the neuromuscular units and specific muscle groups.
